What should I do for my mom this Mother’s Day?

I want to do something really special for her but I can’t come up with anything. I already looked into a mother daughter spa day but none of the day spas around here do any packages for that and it wouldn’t be much of a mother-daughter thing if we were separated. Besides, it’s kind of expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions? I always take her out for dinner or get her flowers. I want something more original. Thanks!!
I’m 22. Mom is 43
Hug and kiss her a lot. Give her a Mother’s Day card with words written by you. And enjoy her. For Mother’s Day this year, I will be placing some flowers on her grave. So, remember that our Mothers will not last forever. Enjoy them while you still have them. Incidentally while we have been dividing my Mother’s estate we have found countless gifts that we gave Mother in the past, some almost 60 years ago. With a true Mother, it is the giver not necessarily the gift. And may God offer a special blessing for all Mothers.

How old are you ? If you are older then perhaps you could go out for a meal together at a nice posh restaurant and then follow it up by going to the pub.
On the other hand, if you are younger, then chances are she is not expecting much fuss so something small such as a nice box of her favorite chocolates and a big bunch of flowers should do the trick.
If you really want to push the boat out, then how about on Mothers Day night you rent a movie and order pizza. Yum.

I am a mom & I am hoping my hubby gives me a spa gift card so I can get a facial or something like that. Even though you can’t do the mother/daughter thing, your mom would probably really enjoy being pampered! If you want to do something together, maybe get side-by-side pedicures or cook her brunch or something.

when my mom was alive i would help her plant her garden on mother’s day. she always like flower gardens and wasn’t healthy or strong enough to plant one herself so she’d get the flowers and i’d weed, turn over the dirt and plant for her. as a parent, i would rather my kids did something similar instead of spending money on a gift.
i’ve always thought a gift of one’s time is the best gift of all.
