Disney builds DVC Villas because they must make money. Disney is not going to invest in something thats not going to be bring in revenue. I went to the D23 Expo and there were a lot of unveilings for improvements like increasing the size of Fantasy land at WDW and the new Cars land at DCA.

    The word some said …
The word some said it all. Disney needs to focus on the big picture and that is the parks. Most of the comments people cant afford to buy them or even stay for the week. Disney should invest in affordable structures to accommodate the majority. In Walt Disney World they are so focused on these Villas that they have abandoned the other part of Pop Century and havent finished it. I have ever seen their records but I bet the turn over rate is much higher, which means more people in the parks.

DVC resort rooms are also available to non-members at retail prices, traveling off-season saves you about $30-40% on accommodations.

Disney has a timeshare program called the Disney Vacation Club. You purchase points (priced from about $98 per point, minimum 100 point purchase) and use them at a variety of beautiful Disney resorts. Google Disney Vacation Club and read all about it. I’ve been a member since 1995. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom in a two bedroom villa for 7 nights retail value: $8,000. We used a little over two years worth of points which brought the price down to $2500. DVC is for repeat visitors.

Disney needs to quit focusing on spending money on Vacation Club Villas and focus the spending on inspiring entertainment, attractions, and shows that focus on technological advancements, innovation and wonder as Walt Disney would have wanted. Villas dont make me want to visit Disney.
