Spa Packages: The Best Spa Packages

I got a voucher in the mail for two adult tickets for a free cruise on the Royal Caribbean ship in celebration of their newest ship. I’m not sure if it’s a scam or not. I had to call a toll-free 1-800 number within 72 hours to reserve my tickets. I called and it sounded wonderful. The cruise is free, a $1300 value plus a 3 night, 4 day stay in Fort Lauderdale. I just have to pay $99 per person for government taxes, which is understandable. I stayed on the phone for an hour as they rattled off all my packages and experiences I’ll have. At the end, they asked for my credit card number to reserve my trip. Then they gave me a number ($898) for the full package, which adds on 2 nights and 3 days at Excalibur or the Gold Nugget in Vegas, a hotel in Orlando, and the Hacienda Resort and Spa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. All of them, not just one… Plus VIP dining, scuba diving, etc. etc. Can this be real? I realize it’s not free, but am I really going to get this "vacation of dreams" for just $898?

They also said I could bring up to 2 people with me on the cruise, but they would have to pay an additional $130 or something and they would have a package of lesser value. It sounds pretty realistic. What do you think?

You know what they say… If it sounds too good to be true, than it probably is. Those are VERY wise words to live by!!!

Read the fine print. Is it on Royal Caribbean or possibly another ship? The "free" cruises are usually on a 50 year old converted ferry boat. It is not worth the "taxes" you are paying. You never get something for nothing. There is always a catch. For example the trips are only on certain dates when you will not be able to take them. Maybe you are required to buy airfare from them to get the "free" rooms. Buyer beware.

THis sounds like the Bahama Celebration cruise ferry to me. THis ship is small, kinda old and attracts a rather rough crowd. I have read reviews of passangers getting arested onboard. That ship was actually something else first, then they "converted" it into a "cruise ferry". The name of the parent company is Celebration cruise line. I would pass on this cruise.

I got the same voucher and shredded it immediately! This is a time share thing even if it does not say it on the voucher, trust me, it is. Google it because I saw a Dateline investigation on this.
