how to boost a spa business in winter months?

I live where theres lots of snow between end of October to mid March. Which is when business always slows down because half of my clients come for pedicures. I offer other services such as facials, electrolysis, waxing, ear piercing, etc. Any suggestion on how to boost business in the winter months? I do have specials that change every couple months. It gets busy around the holidays for parties and gift certificates but I need to boost it for the rest of the season.

Hi,

I think the answers you have so far are very good. A hot tub would be great in addition to coupons. How about a tropical theme inside of the spa. Maybe have some ocean sounds or light relaxing hawaiin music. In addition to that you can have light breeze smelling candles to bring out tropical breeze scent. Another thing you can try is for every week of the month run a different sale. Example, Week 1 10% off anything over $50.00. Week 2 Get a facial treat a friend 1/2 off, etc.

Hope this helped. I have a group I just started on yahoo as well if you ever need to check out some information or tips.

hmm, at sometime near october or november you could send out coupons that expire in march so that people will be enticed to come sometime during winter.

You can try giving out coupons. You can send coupons to people’s houses. Also, you can have like this card where you punch holes in it and if you get like 5 holes punched they can get like 20% off for a facial or whatever you choose. Hope this works! Good luck if you try this!

Hire some hot men to serve as the pedicurists and make them give the pedis in revealing clothes.
