We can’t figure out how to price our honeymoon at Disney World. We’re staying for 18 days, and we want a vacation package that gives us the deluxe dining package, the Cirque Du Solei tickets, and all of that, but we don’t want the spa treatments. We’d really like to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but are also thinking about changing resorts after 9 days to get another experience there also. Does anyone have any advice? How do we price this vacation?
Nope, no kids yet! We’re just looking for someone who has some experience with this long of a stay for two in Disney. And yes, it is romantic!
Great Honeymoon choice! Most people don’t realize that Disney has become the most popular honeymoon destintion.
Either get a travel agent or call Disney direct. I’ve booked directly through Disney a hundred times. They are knowledgeable and will be able to answer all of your questions while setting up everything you want.
My husband and I did not want to wear the bride and groom mickey ears, but we wanted the honeymoon special treatment. We bought bride and groom pins to wear on our t-shirts. It worked exactly the same without the embarassment.

I don’t know much about pricing as far as hotels and everything, but I can put my two cents in as far as La Nouba. Tickets range from $70 to $121, depending on where you want to sit. Catagory 2 is the best, those are about 86 i believe. I’m not sure when your honeymoon is, but be sure to check ahead to make sure that the show isn’t on a dark week. The last two weeks in May there are no shows, it’s the artists’ and technicians’ spring/summer break. Anyway, as far as I know, you’d have to get the tickets seperate, I don’t believe there’s any Disney package where the tickets are included, although I’m not 100% positive.

Congrats! I’m getting married at Disney World and having my honeymoon there as well. As far as pricing goes, it all depends on what time of year you go b/c of hotel prices. Also your choice of hotel will affect your price greatly. Animal Kingdom Lodge is a Deluxe resort. We are staying at POP before the wedding and it is 129$ for holiday prices and then wedding night and the rest of our vacation is at the Polynesian (Deluxe resort) and its 650$ for the cheapest view (per night) b/c of holiday prices but then is $355 for the cheapest view for Value season. Your best bet is to go online to http://www.disneyworld.com and try different combos of hotels/tickets/dining. Cirque tickets are bought separately. If you want to switch hotels, it is a separate reservation. This would make checking rates at disneyworld.com easier since it wouldnt be for 18 straight days.
good luck

I am also honeymooning at Disney this summer!
The first place to start is at this website, the official Disney honeymoon planning site:
http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/hon/start/index.jsp
Take their advice, and call a honeymoon advisor. They can help you set up your trip w/all the dining reservations you want, hotel reservations you need, park tickets, special things to do on your honeymoon, etc. They are a huge help, I can’t say enough!
You can pick what kind of honeymoon experience you want: relaxing, adventurous, exotic, luxurious or distinctly disney. They will give you great ideas.
With ours, we booked the Polynesian with a breakfast at Cinderella’s Castle, a Disney Keys to the Kingdom tour in the Magic Kingdom, and Dinners at Kona Cafe & Ohana.
Also, make sure you take advantage of the Magical Express if you are flying into Disney. Just call your hotel, give them your reservation number, and they will set you up. Basically when you land, you go directly to a disney coach that drives you to your hotel. Someone else waits for your luggage, and it will be waiting for you in your hotel room!
Also, all the disney dining people will ask if it’s a special occasion – always tell them it’s your honeymoon, they will make your meal extra special!
Lastly, if you haven’t gotten married yet, you can actually register for gifts through Disney honeymoons. The link is on the same one I already posted. You can select things you want – anything from park tickets, to dinners, to picture frames, etc. Then they will send you a card, it looks like a credit card, and you will activate it. People can then buy you gifts, and they will be placed onto that card. When you go on your honeymoon your gifts are stored on this card for you to use.
Everyone at the Disney Honeymoon phone number will go through all of this with you, and help you price out every single piece. It’s too hard to do without their help!
Good luck & congrats!
