Spa Packages

My husband purchased me a package that includes steam, paraffin, dry brush, and massage. I’m not sure what any of these are. Any help would be nice. And how much sould I tip with the package costing $50?

For the steam you will most likely sit in a steam room to open your pores and relax, paraffin is a warm wax that they will dip your hands and/or feet in to moisturize them, a dry brush is where you are brushed with a soft brush that has firm bristles so it exfoliates your skin and helps circulation, and then of course a massage is self-explanatory. I would tip 20%, $10.

I want to go to a nice spa getaway in a few months maybe around June. Can anyone recommend someplace that is very nice but not too pricey. I’m currently in NY and am considering the Bahamas but some of the packages including flight and hotel come out to over 3000 which is a little too much for me plus 2. Thats also not including the Spa. Any ideas anyonee??

I agree, the Bahamas are not the cheapest island around. There are cheaper spots that also have spas. I would check out:
- The Dominican Republic
- Mexico (cancun area or many other are reasonably priced)

Go to Kayak.com or cheapcarribean.com to find good deals or look at Travelzoo’s top 20 list.

Otherwise, travel in the US could be cheaper. Vegas would be very affordable and has a ton of spas for the high end customers they have visiting there. Also in Colorado June is more down season and cheaper and there are a ton of natural hot springs in the Colorado region which also have spas attached.

Okay, so, I’m sure everyone has posted a question about mother’s day ideas. I just want to know what you guys think of this idea….I wanted to get my mom a day at the spa package which includes a manicure, pedicure, back massage and facial and includes lunch for the day. What do you think? Do you think I should get her something else? She’s pretty easy to please but I often don’t think she gets enough credit for the things she does. Help?!

Oh sounds very nice! I think you did a very nice thing! I am sure she will have a wonderful day, if you think a gift leaves things unsaid I bet she would love it if you wrote her a letter telling her just how much you appriciate her.

I live in texas and I am trying to find a package deal ( flight and hotel) to the Moon Spa Palace Golf Resort for 4 people, any ideas on what could be the chepest deal? leaving april 2 coming back april 5th? Non Stop?

if you go to cheapcaribbean.com they have a deal for the moon palace all inclusive for $719 per person but you have to book it by this wednesday.
